Henry Adam is a passionate wildlife photographer whose works have been featured on both local and international media including the Straits Times, NBC, NHK, Nippon TV, 9News, Business Insider and BBC. Some of his most iconic photo stories involve otters climbing up a ladder and otters witnessing a wedding proposal. Henry has a keen interest in preserving the biodiversity in Singapore?s natural and urban landscape through his lenses and whilst out in the field. He is an active volunteer with NParks in the area of Conservation and Marine & Coastal. He was the otter spotter for Nat Geo, BBC and NHK documenting teams whilst they were in Singapore. Otters, crocodiles and marine turtles are closest to Henry's heart and has conducted various workshops related to his three favourite animals, tips on how to spot and photograph them in Singapore along with other wildlife. Bernard also loves military aviation and lightning photography.

  • What is the Canon PhotoMarathon?

    The Canon PhotoMarathon (CPM) is a single-day photography competition where participants are given Competition Themes to capture.

    The Themes are only unveiled on event day at specific timings. Participants then have three hours to submit ONE picture per Theme for the competition.

    Pictures submitted for the competition MUST be shot on event day. Canon PhotoMarathon 2020 takes place on 13th Feb 2020.

  • How long does the Canon PhotoMarathon take?

    Typically, the Canon PhotoMarathon officially commences at 0630hrs on event day with the announcement of Theme 1.

    The key timings of the day are as follow:

    0700hrs ? Registration & Goodie bags/T-shirts collection
    0800hrs ? Competition Brief
    0900hrs ? Theme 1 Announcement
    1200hrs ? Deadline for Theme 1 Submission. Theme 2 Announcement
    1500hrs ? Deadline for Theme 2 Submission. Theme 3 Announcement
    1800hrs ? Deadline for Theme 3 Submission.
    1930hrs ? Announcement of Results + Prize Presentation
    2000hrs ? Closing
  • Is pre-registration required?

    Yes, pre-registration for the event is required as there is a limit on the number of participants allowed for the event to ensure smooth operational and logistical flow for the event.

  • Why is on-site registration required on event day? What do I need to bring?

    On-site registration is required to identify you as a qualified participant of the event. It also allows you to collect your event t-shirt and goodie bag.

    An identification document such as e-KTP, Drivers License (for Indonesian Citizens and Indonesian Permanent Residents) or Passport (for foreigners) is required for on-site registration and competition entry submission purposes.
